Mos Eisley

It's Khao-San-Time once again. Whenever I come here I have to think of Mos Eisley, the spaceport from StarWars where all the scum of the universe gathers whilst in Khaosan gathers all the scum of the Backpackersworld as its the Gate to Southeastasia. After saying goodbye to the last nice PGP-People, the budgetairline Air Asia took us from Changi Airport into Bangkok, where we were picked up by Volker and his Thai friend. As we arrived in Banglamphoo by private car and immidiatly met good friends arriving in BKK felt very familiar and the sadness of leaving all the friends in Singapore was a little bit cured . The Guesthouse (behind the Wat) is the nicest I ever stayed in Khaosan Area and also quiet cheap. But since our last visit here Khaosan changed a lot. McDonalds (including evil RonaldMcDonald), Starbucks and Burgerking spreaded like wild mushrooms. And due to the new curfew the street is much less crowded and and much more quiet at night. The climate here is very nice if compared to Singapore, which means that you don't sweat your ass off 24/7 due to the humidity. In some hours our nightbus to Vientianne, the capital of Laos, leaves and I am really looking forward to explore this place on the backwaters of Southeastasia, especially Luang Prabang, which lots of people told me to be Southeastasias nicest place (but of course there are lots of so called nicest places around SEA).
